A longevity programme sells measurement. Whether the measurement is worth its price depends on questions most brochures do not answer.

The seven questions

1. Which markers are measured, and is each one actionable — would an abnormal result change anything you do?
2. Is a physician consultation included in the quoted price, or billed separately?
3. Who explains the results, and what are their qualifications?
4. What happens when something abnormal is found — referral, retest, or a sales conversation?
5. Is imaging read by a radiologist, and is the report shared with you in full?
6. What does the retest cost, and at what interval do they recommend it?
7. Does the provider publish any data on how often its findings change patient care?

A provider comfortable with all seven is selling measurement. A provider uncomfortable with the last three may be selling membership.
